STEPS has two rock forest plantings by Meola creek in July.
Update: A group of experienced planters is confirmed for today, 1 July.
For this first planting a reasonable fitness level is needed, along with some planting experience. Agility and balance will be needed to plant on a rocky slope.
We invite experienced planters to restore this native habitat on Meola Creek. However if you have any doubts about your health, safety, agility or other please do not come as the ground walking in and out will be very wet.
Saturday July 1st @ 10:15 am – 1:00pm
Meet at: 46 Linwood Avenue, Mt Albert Chamberlain golf course carpark
The planting area is rocky and next to an active golf course.
Please
- Wear sturdy shoes
- bring with you: planting gloves
- Spade (optional – we will have some)
- Raincoat, water, hat
We will meet at the carpark and walk to the planting location.
Join us for light refreshments at the golf club afterwards.
